Job Title:  Client Executive

 

The Role

As a Client Executive, you will consult on a wide variety of complex projects involving the design, pricing, funding, implementation and management of a full array of Health and Benefits programs including medical, dental, life, disability, time off and flexible benefits. You will leverage an advanced financial skill set and employee benefits knowledge to design a strategic plan for clients and understanding of clients’ needs to expand business opportunities and further solidify client relationships. You will serve as the project manager and day-to-day communication liaison with our clients, create client deliverables, contribute to client management and new business activities, and participate in the creation of new intellectual capital.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary, daily contact to clients on delivery of services
  • Deliver superior, consistent client management and deliverables for assigned clients including, but not limited to:
    • Stewardship presentations
    • Pre-renewal and renewal meeting presentations
    • Client Advocacy Report
    • Client Service Plan
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with client contacts through effective communication and efficient, quality execution of projects
  • Serve as the project manager of client deliverables, carrier/vendor and service implementations, and all and any Willis Towers Watson projects
    • Client team lead for the service and financial Colleagues assigned to the managed book of business
    • Responsible for setting expectations of deliverables with the team, external partners and/or vendors and the client, establishing and following a timeline, meeting internal and client deadlines
  • Interface with Colleagues from other practices and regions on assignments that reflect the client’s broader business issues
  • Develop program design based on clients’ short- and long-term objectives
    • Make recommendations for improving effectiveness of policies and practices
    • Communicate current trends and advances in each coverage area
  • Develop and cultivate strong relationships with:
    • Carriers to enhance Willis Towers Watson' position in the market place
    • C-suite level client contacts and secure client confidence
  • Demonstrate an advanced knowledge of Willis Towers Watson’s Value Proposition and services to support new business
  • Identify opportunities to grow account book
  • Maintain Market’s client retention goal
  • Serve as a mentor to junior associates
  • Comply with internal compliance requirements

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience and success in the design/management of group health and welfare plans gained in a consulting, brokerage or carrier environment
  • Strong financial skills; Prior experience in group health and welfare product pricing, underwriting or valuation work preferred
  • Strong compliance knowledge
  • Proven ability to recognize and diagnose issues, work in virtual teams, and leverage the resources of other related practices to address client challenges
  • Demonstrated success in managing client issues and relationships; some experience in growing relationships with current clients
  • Superior ability to influence and collaborate with senior management and work across all levels of an organization
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills
  • Polished and well developed oral and written communication skills; advanced presentation skills
  • Interest and aptitude in keeping abreast of latest developments in health and welfare plan strategy and contributing to the development of new tools and approaches
  • Strong analytical and creative skills
  • Experience training/mentoring junior staff
  • Ability to see the 'big picture,' leveraging the resources of related practices to address the clients' business challenges
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word
  • Availability to travel on an as needed basis
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Resident License in Life & Health Insurance
