The focus of the 2015 Conference is on HR practitioners preparing for success by learning effective HR practices and networking with local peers.  Keynote speakers include Peggy Mastroianni, Esq., Associate Legal Counsel in the U.S. EEOC's Office of Legal Counsel, who will present "Pregnancy Discrimination, The Supreme Court and ADA" and Dr. Shirley A. Davis Sheppard, Ph.D., SPHR, who will present "Talent Management Strategies for a V.U.C.A. World."

Credits:  This event will offer approximately Six (6) HRCI Credits (Business/Strategy and General) AND the new SHRM Certification credits.

Price:  HRA-NCA Members $150.  Non-Members $200.  The event price will include breakfast, lunch, snacks and a complimentary gift book from our Keynote.

^The Supreme Court is taking up a pregnancy discrimination case with the potential to affect many American women who continue to work through their pregnancies.  A decision in Young v. UPS, 12-1226, is expected by late-June.

 

HELP WANTED

The Conference Committee would like to extend an invitation for Panel Participants to discuss Health Care Reform, and specifically the Affordable Health Care Act.  Our goal is to offer three points of view on one topic:

  • A subject-matter expert who understands the act;
  • An administrator or benefits broker who can share a perspective on trying to put these things into effect;
  • An HR practitioner from a small organization or large company who represents the audience that can share how their organization has been impacted and what changes the company had to make as a result.
